Tragedy struck in Mauchline, East Ayrshire, on Friday morning as a 19-year-old driver fell victim to Storm Eowyn. The young man, who remains unnamed, lost his life when his car was struck by a falling tree at approximately 6:45 am, well before the red weather warning came into effect at 9 am.
