Chloe Grigby, a 28-year-old resident of Aberdeen City Centre, shares her home with her partner Erem and their three-legged spaniel Macy. Macy, who had one of her legs amputated at just six months old, has not let her disability stop her from enjoying life to the fullest.

Chloe recalls the day she first laid eyes on Macy, the runt of the litter who was being picked on by her siblings. Despite not planning to get a dog that day, Chloe couldn’t resist Macy’s charm and knew she had to bring her home. With the help of inheritance money from her late mother, Chloe was able to convince her dad to let her adopt Macy, who instantly stole their hearts.

After discovering a blood blister on Macy’s leg, Chloe was faced with a difficult decision – to put her down or have the leg amputated. Opting for the surgery, Macy came out strong but with some lasting effects. Due to her missing leg, Macy can be anxious around other dogs and has even been attacked in the past. However, Chloe ensures that Macy is spoiled and loved in their home, making sure she lives her best life.

Despite her challenges, Macy enjoys a variety of adventures in Aberdeen, from beach trips to hillwalking excursions. Her favorite activities include visiting coffee shops and pubs with her owners, as well as climbing mountains like Bennachie and Clachnaben. Chloe documents Macy’s adventures on her Instagram account, where Macy’s playful and adventurous spirit shines through.

One of Chloe’s favorite memories with Macy is the time they spent together during the Covid pandemic, enjoying each other’s company and going on runs. Every day with Macy is a blessing for Chloe, who cherishes the moments spent watching her beloved pet explore and thrive. Macy’s resilience and zest for life serve as an inspiration to all who meet her.
