Police in the city of St Mungo are currently investigating the death of a 40-year-old woman, Sandie Butler, from Glasgow. The investigation was launched after officers responded to a disturbance in the area on Tuesday afternoon around 12.55pm.

Upon arriving at the scene, they found Sandie Butler with serious injuries, and unfortunately, she was pronounced dead shortly after. A post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday confirmed that her death is being treated as a murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters, from the Major Investigation Team, stated that inquiries are ongoing and a thorough investigation is being carried out to determine the circumstances surrounding Sandie Butler’s death. The police have increased their presence in the area as the investigation progresses.
