Sionainn Carmichael, a make-up artist from Aviemore, recently made her debut on the reality TV show “Married at First Sight” on E4. Despite currently living and working in Glasgow, Sionainn has deep roots in the Highlands, having spent most of her life in Aviemore. She shared that growing up in Aviemore and frequenting The Vault were some of her fondest memories, even though she didn’t engage in skiing like many others in the area.
Having left Aviemore to pursue a career in make-up artistry in Glasgow at the age of 20, Sionainn returned briefly after lockdown but ultimately felt the pull of the city life. However, she mentioned gaining a newfound appreciation for the Highlands as a visitor rather than a resident. Sionainn, being a part of series nine of the show, couldn’t reveal much about her experience until the series concludes, but she did tease viewers with the promise of a lot to look forward to.
In the recent episode, viewers witnessed Sionainn meeting her match, Ryan Livesey, at the altar for the first time. Despite not being immediately smitten, their connection grew as Ryan shared about his son and his battle with cancer. Sionainn admitted that Ryan wasn’t her typical type, leaving viewers curious about how their relationship will unfold as the series progresses.
