A 16-year-old individual has been charged with “attempted murder” following an alleged stabbing incident in Elgin. The incident took place near the town’s High Street close to North Street at approximately 7:20 pm on Saturday, November 17.
After the incident, police and ambulance services responded to the scene, and a police cordon was set up in the area, including at the nearby bus station. The 15-year-old male victim, who was reportedly stabbed, was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital but was later discharged.
Subsequently, law enforcement officials arrested and charged the 16-year-old male in connection with the attempted murder. A spokesperson confirmed this information and mentioned that the individual is scheduled to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 19. Additionally, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal for further review.
