The Dinosaur Trail in Aberdeen is now open for exploration, featuring impressive brick models of prehistoric giants at 14 different locations in the city. Created by designer Iconic Bricks, these dinosaur models can be found at iconic spots such as Marischal College, Union Square, and Central Library. The trail, organized by Aberdeen City Council, aims to attract families to discover the beauty of the Granite City.

To make the experience even more enticing, the council has waived fees at two parking spots – Denburn and Frederick Street car parks – for the last three weekends in October and the first in November. Additionally, seven car parks will offer parking for only £1 between 5pm and 8am the next day. Q-Park at the Trinity Centre is also providing a 20% discount on pre-booked parking with the code ABRDN20.

For those looking for an added challenge, there is a Lego mini-figure trail at Upperkirkgate and Belmont Street. Ten shop windows will display these mini-figures, and participants who find them all can enter a prize draw to win one of ten £20 Aberdeen Gift Cards. This adds an element of fun and excitement to the overall dino trail experience.

The event is set to run for two weeks, starting from Saturday, October 12th, so there is plenty of time to embark on this prehistoric adventure in the city. Whether you’re a dinosaur enthusiast or simply looking for a unique way to explore Aberdeen, the Dinosaur Trail offers something for everyone. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to follow the trail, spot the dinosaurs, and maybe even win some exciting prizes along the way. Get ready to step back in time and witness these magnificent creatures come to life in the heart of Aberdeen.
